Proposed Changes to the Design Review Rules and Regulations
The Aldasoro Ranch Design Review Board (“DRB”) and Homeowners Company (“HOC”) have undertaken a comprehensive review of the Design Review Regulations to modernize and clarify portions of the existing document that have become outdated, ambiguous, or inconsistent with current construction practices, design standards, and community objectives.
The proposed revisions are intended to improve administrative efficiency, provide clearer guidance to property owners, architectural design teams, contractors, and eliminate confusion surrounding certain review and approval processes.
In addition, the proposed updates include revisions to landscape and irrigation standards to better address ongoing drought-related concerns and water conservation efforts within the community. The amendments also introduce new language and standards related to wildfire mitigation, defensible space, and vegetation management in an effort to reduce wildfire risk while protecting the long-term health, safety, and resiliency of the Aldasoro Ranch community.
The HOC and DRB recognize the importance of transparency and owner participation in this process. Owners are encouraged to review the proposed redline version of the Design Review Regulations and provide any questions, comments, clarifications, or concerns for consideration as the review process continues.
